Sofa City Sweetheart/ January 23, 2011/ Uncategorized

So in addition to producing and recording my own material, I sometimes record and produce other people’s music.   One big project I worked on last year was my good pal Jorge Huaman’s debut album.  You know Jorge from the Sofa City live band, and also from the EP track “Good News For Jackie” where he provides some operatic background vocals towards the end.  He’s lent his skills to Sofa City Sweetheart for some time now, and he’s just released his first full-length album.

The album is titled In Need Of In Between, and is available now.  If you like Bends-era Radiohead, Jorge Drexler, or badass guitar skills, you will definitely dig it.  He’s having a CD release show this Monday, January 24th at the Commonthwealth Lounge in Fullerton.  I’ll be playing in his backing band.  Come out if you can, it’s free!

Listen to the album below, and pick it up if you like what you hear.  Make sure not to miss Stowaway, Vacancy, Blind Proposal, or Con Sal, Limon,Y Chile.  There’s even a sweet cover of the Santo and Johnny classic, “Sleep Walk.”  Orale!
